Biography
Mauro Picotto, an Italian DJ and producer, began his career in 1984 and was a finalist in the 1988 Italian DMC competition.
He became a key figure in trance and techno, gaining fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits like “Lizard”, “Iguana”, “Komodo” and “Pulsar”. Known for his energetic beats and melodic sound, he remains a staple of the global rave and club scene.
In 2015, Picotto published his autobiography “Vita da DJ. From Heart to Techno.” His legendary Meganite events at Privilege Ibiza made him one of the defining names of international techno culture. Releasing new music via Armada, he continues to influence electronic dance music — and big new tunes are coming in 2026.
